EDOM IN BIBLE PROPHECY Edom
in Bible Prophecy by John Allfree deals in considerable depth with
prophetic teaching about Edom. It attempts to answer the vexed
questions — Is latter-day Edom just another name for the Gogian
Confederacy? Does Edom represent a group of Arab nations? Is the view
that Arab nations will overthrow the State of Israel before the return
of Christ supported by Scripture?

A More Sure Word Of Prophecy—by Jonathan Burke—brings together a neat summary of all the principal symbols of the books of Daniel and Revelation and how they have been interpreted through 20 centuries. It is a truly amazing achievement. The reader will be excited to see the unanimity of interpretation that prevailed. In fact, many of the earlier writers in our lists were early Roman Catholic priests, writing of a Christian apostasy! No Christadelphian, with 1,400 more years of evidence, should fall victim to the Jesuits’ seduction and lose their basic understanding of these remarkable prophecies. Rome’s own priest and Bishops had a clear perception themselves. It was only the later writings of her Jesuit scholars, Ribera, Alcasar and Lacunza, that deliberately muddied the stream of understanding. 84 pages |

A Commentary by Bro
David Baird
The depth of the drama portrayed in the life of Job impresses the reader and student with the importance that God places upon the book of Job. Is there anyone that has ever been so highly reputed of man and God, "perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil" and yet suffered such a total loss of fortune, the slaying of servants, destruction of his livestock and camels, the death of all his seven sons and three daughters? These facts alone emphasise that this quite unique book was intended by God to present powerful lessons to all of His servants as they meet the misfortunes and blessings that are inescapable experiences of mortal life. Here, in Job, there is wisdom for us all. The distinctive virtue of this lengthy treatise on the book of Job is that it covers all the chapters and provides sound and useful comment on all the verses of the speeches. There are so many occasions when the reader of Job is searching for the basic meaning of the record; in this treatment there is an explanation given for every verse and tied in to the contextual argument. We commend the work as a valuable commentary upon a key book in the Word of God. |

The CSSS is pleased to announce the
release of
this new book. The Schoolmaster
has been a long time in preparation.
For more than forty years the exposition of the Law of Moses has been
synonymous to many of us with bro. John Martin. It was as early as the
Sunday School days of the 1960’s that we began to see his interest in
that section of the Scriptures. There were not many brethren who ever
got down to the hundreds of details of the Law in a determined manner
so as to make sense of them in the light of the coming of the Son of
God and the offering that he would make. The book of Hebrews probably
awoke John’s interest in Leviticus for the Letter to the Hebrews was
one of his early studies and naturally led to an acquaintance with the
Law. So many in so many places have enjoyed his competent handling of
the Law in so many areas of Bible study.
We now have a comprehensive commentary on Leviticus by Bro. John Martin. Hard cover, 394 pages, illustrated, index. |
