 Beauty of Holiness   M Ashton
For many who have read Leviticus today, even many who have embraced the Gospel of Christ, the wording of God's call is not attractive; they are not drawn closer to God by the material in the book, but feel distant from Him and perplexed by much of the law. The objective of this book, therefore, is to show the relevance of Leviticus for today's disciples of Christ, and to draw the unmistakable links between God's message to the nation of Israel in the wilderness, and that to followers of the Lord Jesus who are in a wilderness of probation, endeavouring to enter fully into God's promised rest.

Delight in God's Law       John Carter

This collection of essays has been culled from The Christadelphian magazine of which the author was Editor from 1937 until his death in 1962. The selection includes twelve editorials, eight exhortations, and nine articles; one comprising a nine-part series called "Many parts and many ways", and another, a four-part series on "Bible echoes". The essays are drawn from virtually the entire period of his editorship, the earliest being from 1942 and the latest from 1960.

Through them, we are left in no doubt of the author's reverence for God and love of the scriptures. He writes of the Creator: "The world is His; He causeth the sun to rise, and the grass to grow; and while He is the Holy One inhabiting eternity, He looks on the poor and contrite in heart, who tremble at His word, to dwell with them. Through the Son we can know the Father, for he has revealed Him."

Josiah and his Children       Stephen Palmer

The period of time from the reformation of Josiah to the destruction of the temple was only about 40 years, but it is one of the most important periods in the history of God's people. The generation of Josiah and his children, short though it was, formed the background for three of the great prophecies of scripture - Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel, as well as the shorter prophecies of Zephaniah and Habakkuk.

Josiah was a remarkable man of faith. How could such a man who devoted his life to learning and living the truth of scripture produce three sons who by their early twenties were thoroughly corrupt? The question will be of keen interest to those bringing up children in a world filled with corrupting influences. The earnest desire of every Christadelphian parent is that their children will follow the example of Josiah and not the example of his sons.

Solomon - Wise and Foolish

Solomon's wisdom was proverbial, yet his folly stands as a warning to all those who think they know better than God. Richly blessed, as he was, with ability and opportunity, King Solomon made great changes in Israel. He built God's Temple as well as many other fine buildings, but he was not able to establish a lasting dynasty. His son and successor threw away almost everything that Solomon had achieved.

This book examines Solomon's life story and shows what he accomplished, with God's blessing. It also considers what went wrong and what we can learn from his experience. It contains practical advice and sound counsel for people who want to live in the coming kingdom of God.

The lives of people like Solomon are carefully recorded in scripture for our benefit. God offers us wisdom and counsel in His word and these are the true riches, both for this life and for the life to come.

Time to Hear, A  —  S Knight

An exciting new work, looking at the events surrounding the times of John the Baptist when some in Israel were on the tiptoe of expectation, awaiting the long-promised Messiah. This fictional account gives the flavour of life in those days, viewed through the eyes and experiences of a young Galilean boy, and provides many unexpected insights into the scriptural record. 576 pages
