A Ragtime Compendium

The free index of ragtime titles, with details of composers, lyricists, dates and publishers plus where to find MIDIs of many of the titles on the Web.

When the concept for this site/project was being developed it seemed to fill avoid. With the developments in web technologies (broadband in particular) and the digitising of scores by many libraries (and individuals) much of the material has been readily accessed elsewhere although not as a comprehensive index. But the time required to maintain it, given the new material being added to the web daily (piano roll scans particularly) has become too great for me and so Version 8 is my final offering.

Ragtime enthusiasts who have previously accessed this data and only need the updated spreadsheet and notes should click here for quick access.

This update includes 450 new titles and sources of MIDIs for over a further 600 titles (total now 4,136).
